X1C6 keyboard issue
X1C6 keyboard issue
Greetings everyone! I've recently purchased an used X1C6. Awesome laptop, great feel to the touch, etc. All the stuff. Though, the issue with it is the keyboard backlight does not turn off and searching around the internet yielded me no results (I don't i really looked properly). Anyone got an idea for a solution?

Re: X1C6 keyboard issue
Get the X1C6 HMM manual here.
In there, under Special keys it says:
Press Fn+Spacebar to switch between the different keyboard backlight status (off, low, or high).

Re: X1C6 keyboard issue
Could Fn/Escape-> FnLk on or off have anything to do with it?
Don't have such a laptop to check right now.

Re: X1C6 keyboard issue
actually no, looked as far as in BIOS to see if lenovo has some "keep backlight turned on always" setting and there isn't.RealBlackStuff wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 6:48 amCould Fn/Escape-> FnLk on or off have anything to do with it?

could this be a hardware issue rather than software? I've yet to try reinstalling drivers etc.
Re: X1C6 keyboard issue
I suppose it could, especially if it is always on, including during BIOS and early boot, and does not respond to any attempts to turn it off.
