ThinkPad 600X CD or DVD?

#1 Post by kjellinux » Sat Jul 20, 2024 11:17 am

In ThinkWiki (https://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Category:600X) it states that IBM ThinkPad 600X is equipped with one of the following:
  • CD-ROM drive
  • DVD-ROM drive
How can I find out which is the case with my 600X?

Open it up, take the drive out, find its P/N or FRU in the 600X manual from the HMM link above.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!

I can't find any matching P/N or FRU, but it has the text CD-ROM, so I guess that's what it is.
