Hey everyone! I have ordered the motherboard and followed all of your advice!
Did some more digging and I found out that there are SXGA+ displays for the X61 and I'm wondering where can I get one and if I could swap it into my X60s.

Kevin trade shop on aliexpress has the sxga kits i believe

I found the kits you were talking about. But I saw that you need a special BIOS to install said the SXGA screens and I saw this on the ThinkWiki. Do I flash it before or after I install the screen?

I've got an X6x dock if needed - albeit in the UK. Not sure how hard they are to get hold of now, but quite useful.
